The Browns continue to ink wide reciever prospects, hoping for depth.... | |||

The Browns continue to look at prospects at wide receiver, a clear indication that the team is concerned about depth at the position. Today, the team added 6-1, 190 pound Maurice Mann, a journeyman reciever who has seen time with the Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, and Seattle Seahawks. Mann was originally a fifth round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2004. The fleet Mann has bounced around the NFL since his one season with the Bengals. Most recently, he made the active roster of the Minnesota Vikings as that team sought help after losing Nate Burleson and Koren Robinson in 2006. Mann spent eleven weeks on the practice squad after spending five with the team, although he was active on gameday for only one of those games. Now in his fifth team in four years, Mann is clearly a long-shot and would be fighting for the team's final wide reciever spot. - Barry
